A golden statue of what is located at the top of Faneuil Hall?
Built in 1741, Faneuil Hall was a meeting place for the Sons of Liberty political organization and served as a general meeting hall and marketplace. One of its most interesting features is a golden grasshopper that tops its weathervane. Legend says it was used during the War of 1812 to reveal spies. Anyone who could not answer, “What is on top of Faneuil Hall?” was further questioned, as all loyal patriots knew of the golden grasshopper.
