Where can you visit this famous peak?
Mount Fuji is the highest mountain peak in Japan, standing over 12,300 feet tall. The dormant volcano is renowned for its snow-covered symmetrical cone, which, on a clear day, can be seen from Tokyo, just over 60 miles northeast. Hikers flock to its trails during the official July and August climbing season, and on New Year’s Day, revelers gather to watch the sunrise over its powerful peak.
