Which of these is NOT a type of waterfall?
Waterfalls are generally broken up into several categories depending on how they descend — punchbowl, plunge, multi-step, horsetail, frozen, fan, chutes, cataracts, cascades, and block waterfalls. Punchbowl waterfalls spread out as they near the water, horsetail makes contact with the rock as it descends, and plunge waterfalls feature a steep drop that completely separates from making contact with the bedrock. However, “shooting star” isn’t a type of waterfall.
